Laurence Cheney

Laurence Cheney leads the global marketing organisation operations at Murgitroyd.
She has over 20 years of experience of working in the Intellectual Property Industry.
Laurence enjoys working in cross-functional multi-cultural teams, cultivating lasting partnerships and working closely with our teams of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys. Laurence has a reputation for organisation, strategy and process development and implementation. She enjoys nurturing and developing talent within her global team.
She has been the IP Inclusive Scotland Network Committee Lead (now co-Lead of the expanded committee) since 2019. Laurence also supports and contributes to the work of our Equity Diversity & Inclusion Group.
Laurence joined the Membership and Comms sub-group of ADAPT Europe in May 2024.

Margaret works with senior leaders and managers across the business to plan, design and deliver on all HR & organisational development requirements that drive delivery of business priorities.
Margaret is an advisor to members of the Executive and their management teams, supporting on all people related matters. Margaret also provides advice and guidance to managers on all elements of the employee lifecycle. This includes supporting the development and implementation of Murgitroyd’s organisational development frameworks; including pay & grading, reward & recognition, performance management and talent and succession planning. Further activity revolves around employee relations management and ad hoc project planning & delivery as required.
Margaret also plays a key role in ESG as Lead of the Environment Team, co-ordinates our ESG Steering Group and is a Committee member of the Scotland Network of IP Inclusive.
